“There isn’t anything I feel like reading,” I told a friend, “and I’m grumpy about it.”

It’s important that you know that – not counting the shelf that holds my author copies – there are six decent-sized bookshelves in my apartment, all full. While I’ve read most of those books, there’s probably about half a bookcase worth that I haven’t. I am also familiar with our fancy modern technologies that will let me acquire many books pretty much instantaneously. And yet, there was nothing that I could find that was what I wanted.

As the woman said: It's me. Hi. I’m the problem, it’s me.
