Group reading

In a recent post, I linked to the group reading that Cari Luna is hosting of Doris Lessing’s The Summer Before the Dark. I’m joining it because Lessing is an author I’ve always meant to read, and yet haven’t gotten around to, and this seemed like a good impetus to finally do that. I’m not sure how active I’ll be in leaving comments (yes, I have a PhD in English literature, which suggests I do have some skill in reading and analyzing books, yes, I also have anxiety and am often nervous about speaking up in groups, even friendly internet groups) but I’ve read the first chunk of pages and I’m really excited to see what other people think.

It's that last bit that caught on my brain this week. I really am so excited to see what other people think.
